About the Basset hound
The Basset Hound is a short-legged, long-bodied scent hound with an exceptional nose. Their droopy ears, sad eyes, and wrinkled brow give them a perpetually melancholic expression that hides their cheerful, devoted nature. Basset Hounds are friendly, easygoing, and excellent with children. They are second only to the Bloodhound in scenting ability. Their laid-back personality makes them ideal family companions.
