Labrador Retriever

The Labrador Retriever is the world's most popular dog breed, and for good reason. These friendly, outgoing dogs are the perfect family companion. Labs are gentle with children, patient with other pets, and friendly with strangers. They were originally bred to help fishermen retrieve nets and fish from the cold North Atlantic, which explains their love of water and natural retrieving instinct. Labs are highly trainable and excel as service dogs, therapy dogs, and detection dogs.
